Reputation: One thing can destroy it; yet so many ways to protect it.
I just put the finishing touches on a presentation I’ll be giving September 6, 2012 at the Occupational Health and Safety 2012 Virtual Conference, entitled “10 Smart Strategies for Reputation Management after a Occupational Crisis.” As I’ve been preparing my talk, I came across the following image:
While it is true that one moment can destroy a reputation that’s taken years to build, there are so many ways to safeguard reputation before and in the midst of the crisis.
Typically, it’s trust and credibility that have been impacted. Those elements of good character and a solid reputation can be restored with time, committment and a good deal of effort.
