Evan is a former Fulbright Scholar and Peace Corps Volunteer, and he earned his J.D. in 1997 from the Duke University School of Law, where he was the Managing Editor of the Duke Journal of International & Comparative Law. In addition to his portfolio responsibilities for BETTISON, Evan has developed a reputation as a strategic thinker, precise communicator, and civic-minded leader throughout a broad-based legal and consulting career in which he has, among other responsibilities: clerked for the United States 8th Circuit Court of Appeals; practiced law in Minneapolis with Faegre & Benson LLP (k/n/a, Faegre Baker Daniels); served as Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at the William Mitchell College of Law, in Saint Paul; and represented select, world-class corporations, agencies and institutions (including 3M Company and the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis) through his boutique private practice, Rice Legal Services LLC.
